Webkit is the best: Here's why (a very lazy rant about web browser engines)

Webkit is the best. it seriously is. Chromium? Too bloated. Gecko? Meh, too slow, but good for privacy. Presto? Abandoned in 2013. Goanna? Personally never used it. Same goes for ladybird, netsurf, flow, and servo. Some look promising, but not as good as webkit. Still not convinced? WebKit has the best compatibility. Works on iOS, Mac, windows, Linux, and Haiku. Speed? its very fast, and it doesnt eat up RAM like chrome does. Privacy? It has ITP. No other browser engine has so much anti-tracking built in. Security? Chromium has more CVEs, but webkit has been around for longer (therefore has had more time to be exploited). Personally, those more than meet the criteria for me.

My browser recommendations (subject to change):

 iOS/iPadOS: Safari

MacOS: Safari (Safari Technology Preview if cutting edge features are needed, but it does crash aplenty)

Windows: Firefox

Linux: Firefox (Ungoogled chromium can have some upsides for some sites, but personally I would not daily it)

Some honourable mentions: DuckDuckGo browser, it works OK. Wouldn't recommend it on Windows though. Orion, it's good. Haven't used it much but it's nice. Can't say I recommend Kagi though... Vivaldi, the only Chromium browser I will tolerate. It works, and is made by former Opera devs. Speaking of Opera, DO NOT USE OPERA PRODUCTS. They suck in my opinion, and have very few good qualities. Here is an article about why you should NOT use Opera products.

Thats enough for now. Hopefully I convinced you that WebKit is superior. Thanks for reading.
